OSPA Executive Director Rachel Chilton was recently featured in an NPR story regarding legislation (HB 497) to remove the retention requirement under the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. The article uses a soundbite from Rachel's testimony in May before the House Primary & Secondary Education Committee. OSPA's position on the bill is in support of removing the retention requirement. The bill passed out of the House Committee in May.
